10 Members of the troop went to camp this year and earned a total of 36 Merit badges and 6 partials In addtion to 5 Totin' Chip certificates!

Here are a few important reminders.

Scout Meetings (remaining) in June:

1. June 11th:  NOTE: Location change.  Meeting will be held in Divjak's barn because the school will be closed.  Theme = Cooking, Scout-in-Charge is Justin  

2. June 18th: End of the year party/Court of Honor at the Divjak's 

June/July Outings:

1. June 16: Iron Mountain training hike, 7:00 am. Philmont participants are asked to carry 20 pounds in their packs.

2. June 16: Car Wash Fundraiser (Somers, Thiry, & Godden families leading) 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Connection Church on Twin Peaks (next to Circle K)

3. June 23: Iron Mountain training hike, 7:00 am.  Philmont participants are asked to carry 40 pounds in their packs.

4. June 24-30: Mataguay Summer Camp.  Scouts:  Keep working on merit badge outlines.  

5. July 7-8: Mt. San Gregornio Training Backpacking Trek.  Open to all scouts, but realize this is a very strenuous hike, reaching 8000 feet in elevation.  

6. July 20-Aug. 5: Philmont (Philmont Trek July 22-Aug. 3) Adults = Ken and Levi Gamble, Greg Adams, Roger Pigott.  Group has decided to drive to and from Philmont in two cars.  

7. Sometime in June:  Blake Rhodes Eagle Court of Honor

Car Wash fund raiser

 Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that there will be a car washing fund raiser for the camping trip to Mataguay on the 16th of June 1:00-4:00. It will be at the Connection church on twin peaks road in Poway. We also need people to make signs. I hope to see you all there!!!(The profits will be shared between the workers. Emphasis on workers.)

BLACK CANYON CANOE TRIP

BLACK CANYON CANOE TRIP CREW

The crew of 4 adults and 10 scouts took off early this morning for the  Black Canyon. They are quite excited to be on the river for 3 days, and Zach's Uncle Steve is providing an insiders' tour of the Hoover Dam later today. Should be a really great day!

Shotgun shooting

I am sorry this is a little late..... here are some pictures from the shotgun shooting day. After having got lost on the way to the Lemon Grove Rod and Gun Club we finally made it. A few of us were novices at this, but the larger portion of our group were experts. At the end of the day there was a shooting contest with which two of our group qualified for. One of the received second place! What a day it was. It was my first time shooting and I really enjoyed it. I hope every one else did too.
