Mrs. Gamble here. Just wanted to let those of  you who are following this Philmont Blog know that Ken has not been able to send any more pics as they've gotten deeper into the backcountry. I've posted all the ones they were able to get through, and now they aren't even texting. So sorry! But lots of pics will soon be added as they get back into range and start their trip home.

VILLA PHILLMONTE TOUR

Villa Phillmonte, The summer home of Waite & Genevieve Phillips was donated to BSA along with the Land that makes the Philmont Scout Ranch.  Waite Phillip, a self Made milllionare who founded Phillips Petrolium in the 1920, chose to give the land to Boy scouts in three seperate gifts over a number of years.  Now the Ranch avereages well over 20,000 scouts and scouters a year using property while adhereing to the "Leave No Trace" principles to keep the back country pristine!
